旅爱尽头

 故事发生在加州酒店之中。著名演员戴安娜（玛吉·史密斯 Maggie Smith 饰）和丈夫西德尼入住酒店，戴安娜获得了奥斯卡金像奖的提名，信心满满的她相信自己一定能够获奖，哪知道事与愿违，愤怒的戴安娜只想着赶紧离开这个让她感到伤心的地方。汉娜（简·方达 Jane Fonda 饰）带着女儿也住在酒店之中，她此行的目的是和同自己离婚已久的前夫比尔（阿伦·阿尔达 Alan Alda 饰）见面。女儿烦透了母亲的独断专决，希望能够留在这里和父亲生活一段时间。马文（沃尔特·马修 Walter Matthau 饰）比妻子早一天入住了酒店，哪知道自己的好哥们居然送了自己以为金发美人作为大礼。

 阿姆斯特丹，两个男人爱上了同一个女人，注定了一段纠缠的故事。惠瑛（全智贤饰）是画家，每天到广场帮路人画肖像，而像她一样风雨不改的，还有某人送来的一盘雏菊。每天雏菊总是准时送到，让她心里悸动而好奇。一天，匆匆而过的正佑(李成宰 饰)遇上了画家。他本是国际警察，来这个城市追捕杀手，然而却迷上了温婉动人的惠瑛，他让惠瑛帮他描肖像，他们的爱情在萌发盛开。这些情景，送花人看在眼里，痛在心里。他的身份注定了他必须给正佑让出位置，对惠瑛默默付出。因为，他就是正佑所寻找的杀手朴义(郑宇成 饰)。但是，强烈的爱终究让他不再躲在暗处，他决心争取幸福。二人在法律上，感情上的鲜明对立，注定了不能完满的结局，鲜血在惠瑛描有雏菊的花布上蔓延开来……

　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

 米尔德雷德（弗兰西斯·麦克多蒙德 Frances McDormand 饰）的女儿在外出时惨遭奸杀，米尔德雷德和丈夫查理（约翰·哈克斯 John Hawkes 饰）之间的婚姻因此走到了尽头，如今，她同儿子罗比（卢卡斯·赫奇斯 Lucas Hedges饰）过着相依为命的生活。一晃眼几个月过去了，案件仍然没有告破预兆，而警方似乎早已经将注意力从案子上转移了开来。被绝望和痛苦缠绕的米尔德雷德租下了高速公路边上的三块巨型广告牌，在上面控诉警方办案无能，并将矛头直接对准了警察局局长威洛比（伍迪·哈里森 Woody Harrelson 饰）。实际上，威洛比一直隐瞒着自己身患绝症命不久矣的事实。因为这三块广告牌，米尔德雷德和威洛比的生活发生了翻天覆地的变化。
