　　故事背景发生在抗日战争时期，主角郭东是一名兽医，他的妻儿惨遭日本兵杀害，从此躲到了草原边陲的一个小镇上，过着惶惶不可终日的生活。郭东的自暴自弃使得他与当地人产生许多矛盾。就在此时，一名蒙古族孕妇的生命危在旦夕，众人无奈之下求助郭东，郭东在新生命的洗礼和蒙古族战士的感染下，重新明白了"英雄"的意义，完成了自我救赎。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　公元2021年，资料除了透过电脑输送外，还可利用人脑运输。专业运输员尊尼为了运送更多资料，不惜洗去自己的记忆。一次任务中，尊尼被客户输入过量资料，若他不在二十小时内找到输出密码，他便会倒毙。另一方面，日本集团为了夺取他脑内的资料，也对他展开一场大追杀。
